The Elk Has Landed: Why Weโre Calling Asheville Home
The rumors are true: Lucky Elk is officially moving to Asheville, North Carolina.
Weโve secured a great new spot in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and weโre almost ready to launch the next generation of Lucky Elk. For us, this isn't just a change of address; itโs an evolution. Between our improved facility, stronger regional infrastructure, and significantly faster shipping times, weโre setting the stage for our best year yet.
Weathering the Storm
I want to personally apologize for the lack of updates over the last few weeks. As it turns out, moving a business across the country is no small feat, and this transition hit its fair share of moving day hurdles. From an 11th-hour lease collapse on our original location to severe winter storms and a string of cancelled flights for our team traveling from Oregonโitโs been an adventure.
But we made it.
I speak for the entire Lucky Elk team when I say we are beyond stoked to be here. Weโve long admired North Carolinaโs flourishing hemp industry and the vibrant community of farmers, advocates, and enthusiasts that call this state home. Weโre honored to be joining this community, and we canโt wait to meet the folks who make it so special.
Stewarding the Medicine
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue growing a business that has become so special to so many people. I believe that North Carolina provides the best home base for us to continue stewarding the medicine. At the end of the day, the real purpose of Lucky Elk is to be of service to this plant and to those who use it.
The Road Ahead: Mid-February Reopening
We are currently aiming to have the shop back online by mid-February. To ensure we maintain the quality and care you expect from us while we find our footing in the new space, we will be launching with a curated, limited menu. This allows our teamโmany of whom relocated their entire lives to stay with Lucky Elkโto focus on precision as we get back up to speed.
Donโt worry: weโve secured our supply chains to ensure we still represent the absolute best growers and hash makers from the West Coast. At the same time, we are already hitting the ground running to collaborate with local growers and the legendary Asheville art scene. Think limited-edition packaging, funky merch, and fresh perspectives.
Thank you for sticking with us through this transition. The herd is moving fast, and weโll be back soon.
