In late May, Rep. Andy Harris quietly introduced language into a federal funding bill that could destroy the hemp industry as we know it.

Under the proposed FY2026 Agriculture Appropriations Bill, the definition of legal hemp would change—banning any product with “quantifiable” amounts of THC or similar cannabinoids. That includes:

• THCa flower (like much of what we grow and share)
• Live rosin and other solventless concentrates
• BHO extracts
• Full-spectrum CBD
• Even non-intoxicating formulations that meet the current federal limit of 0.3% Δ9 THC

Let that sink in...

This bill would override the protections laid out in the 2018 Farm Bill. It would erase the livelihoods of tens of thousands of small farmers and wipe entire shelves clean of the medicine so many of us rely on—for sleep, for pain, for peace of mind, for connection.
