How Are BHO Concentrates Made?
BHO—short for butane hash oil—is produced using a closed-loop extraction system. Butane passes through cannabis material, dissolving cannabinoids and terpenes before being separated from the plant matter. The resulting extract then undergoes a controlled purging process to remove the solvent.
From there, temperature, pressure, agitation, and curing techniques can be adjusted to create different finished consistencies. That's how the same fundamental extraction method can produce everything from creamy Badder to brittle Shatter and airy Crumble.
Properly produced BHO is also tested to verify potency, purity, and residual solvent levels before it reaches the finished product.
How to Use THCa BHO Concentrates
THCa concentrates are commonly enjoyed using a dab rig or concentrate-compatible vaporizer. Because concentrates are significantly more potent than flower, a small amount goes a long way.
