This program aims to recognize and support individuals in our Cannafam who uplift their local communities. By celebrating customers who embody our core values we hope to amplify their positive impact. We want to celebrate the right leadership: the selfless, the kindhearted, the peaceful warriors who are taking personal responsibility in making our world a better place.
Meet our first nominated winners, Cat & Estefania - two best friends that are the beating hearts of their communities in Oregon and New Jersey. Their unwavering commitment to fostering true conscious community is evident in every event they curate and host. By organizing equitable and accessible weekly community circles, monthly wellness workshops, soulful meditations, and mindful movement events they create a sanctuary where individuals can heal, grow, and support one another. Together they seek to shift our culture from individualism to communal living, nurturing spaces where healing, business, and every day life are collective, inclusive, shared experiences. Through this mutual passion, they weave a network of connection, collaboration, and shared prosperity!
This summer, we had the opportunity to support Cat and Estefania as they invited women from all over the country to the enchanting realm of Sunny Valley Resort for their 4th annual 5-day wellness retreat. Nestled amidst nature’s whispered wisdom, participants embarked on a transformative journey, weaving threads of self-discovery, rejuvenation, and profound community connection. Each day focused on helping women with a different step in the healing journey:
Day 1: Pre-Party Celebration
The retreat was kicked off by a pre-party designed to create a casual space where the women could connect and unwind, featuring a nourishing feast, a cozy bonfire, and a captivating live performance by the talented local female musician, TheaWave.
Day 2: Release
The real internal work began by identifying and releasing trauma that hold us back from experiencing true happiness and fulfillment. Participants engaged in guided breath work, meditation, journaling sessions, hiking, and a community circle around the sacred fire, that allowed them to let go of what no longer serves them.
Day 3: Revitalize
As dawn broke, Sunny Valley became a canvas of rebirth. The day’s activities revolved around revitalizing and nourishing the body and spirit. Sunrise yoga, invigorating nature play-time, and nourishing, plant-based feasts breathed new life into each participant. Together, they found solace in nature and in each other, rekindling the flame of vitality.
Day 4: Realize
On the third day, participants delved into the depths of self-actualization. Workshops on mindfulness and creating vision boards illuminated paths to personal growth. Amid laughter and tears, women realized their potential, set their intentions for the next year, and built bridges to their dreams. It was a day of awakening, where aspirations were not just envisioned but embraced.
Day 5: Reciprocate
Unity blossomed on the fifth and final day as participants turned their focus outward. All weekend long they were poured into so that after the retreat they could then pour out into their communities, continuing the momentum of healing. This day epitomized the essence of reciprocity, highlighting that true community strength lies in loving and supporting your neighbor as your would love yourself.
It was an honor getting to support their mission by providing funding for both their Ayurvedic nutrition program as well as 5 scholarships that went to women in need. Nothing makes us happier here at Lucky Elk than aligning with those that share our vision of creating conscious community.
