Bubble hash ratings are an informal system used by solventless hash makers and consumers to describe how refined and clean a resin is when heated. As a general rule, higher-rated hash contains purer trichome heads with less contaminating plant material, waxes, and residual debris.
But higher-rated hash isn’t automatically “better” for every consumer.

Lower Grade Hash (1–3 Star)

Achieving true 6-star resin requires exceptional starting material, highly skilled washing, careful freeze drying, precise filtration, and extremely clean trichome separation.

What About Microns?

A highly refined 120µ batch may outperform a contaminated 73µ selection. Melt quality, resin cleanliness, cultivar, washing technique, and trichome preservation all matter far more than the micron number itself.
